Introduction to the Life of Hazrat Fatima (S.A.)
Hazrat Fatima (S.A.), also known as Fatimah az-Zahra (“the Radiant”), holds a uniquely honored place in Islamic history. She was the beloved daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Hazrat Khadijah (S.A.), born into a home of purity, compassion, and unwavering faith. As the youngest daughter of the Prophet (PBUH), she witnessed the hardships faced by early Muslims in Makkah and grew up embodying patience, modesty, and devotion.
From her early years, Hazrat Fatima (S.A.) became known for her strong character, deep spirituality, and sincere commitment to serving others. After the Hijrah to Madinah, she married Hazrat Ali ibn Abi Talib (S.A.), and together they built a household that became a shining example of piety and simplicity. She was the mother of Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn (S.A.), the noble grandsons of the Prophet (PBUH).
Throughout her life, Hazrat Fatima (S.A.) remained close to the Prophet (PBUH), who described her as the leader of the women of Paradise. Her compassion for the poor, her strength during hardship, and her devotion to faith continue to inspire Muslims around the world.
