Umra-e-Mufrada, also known as Independent Umrah, is a sacred act of worship performed in the holy city of Makkah. Unlike Umra-e-Tamattu, which is linked to Hajj, Umra-e-Mufrada is performed independently at any time of the year except during the days of Hajj. It is a beautiful spiritual journey that allows a believer to visit the House of Allah, seek forgiveness, purify the soul, and renew their commitment to faith.
This Umrah consists of specific rituals: entering the state of Ihram, reciting Talbiyah, performing Tawaf of the Kaaba, praying two rak'ahs behind Maqam-e-Ibrahim, doing Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, and finally Taqsir (trimming hair) or shaving the head for men. Each step represents humility, devotion, and closeness to Allah.
Umra-e-Mufrada is highly recommended in Islam. It provides an opportunity for spiritual cleansing, acceptance of prayers, and deep inner peace. Through this pilgrimage, believers strengthen their relationship with Allah and experience the sacred atmosphere of the holy sanctuary.
